Some of the best restaurants can be found a little off the beaten path, and Napoli's is one of them.  It's located at the SEC of Exchange Parkway and Angel Parkway in east Allen. 

This is our "go to" place when we want good Italian cuisine and not in the mood for a $50 dinner for three at Brio's.  The food at Napoli's is every bit as good and it's much faster.  It's a family owned restaurant and has that neighborhood restaurant feeling.  You won't have to go on a long wait to be seated (if at all), and it won't end up an hour long meal ... unless you want it to be.

Napoli's cooks with brick ovens, not microwaves.  All of their food is made  fresh daily.  The owner told me they buy only the best ingredients including cheeses, even when the prices go up.  I've noticed they have a brisk pick-up order business, and we also have them deliver since we are also on the east side of town.

The pizza by the slice is huge, not something you'd get at a mall, and they will make it to your order.  The slice you see below was a vegetarian they prepared for us.

Although I love BJ's Brewery. their pizzas are have a very, thick dough, which I don't particularly care for.  Napoli's has a thinner crust, which I have always preferred.  Their large pizza's are huge and can easily feed a family.  I have heard their calamari and chicken tetrazzini are excellent.

Again, if you are looking for a restaurant with an elegant (and expensive) ambiance like Brios, this is definitely not the place.  But if you want good Italian food at a reasonable price served to you quickly, I would give Napoli's a try.
