Fairview is 50 years old! The town used to be a "best kept secret", but the word is out. For a town of only about 5,100 people (at the time of this article), it has some impressive residential and commercial developments to boast about. This area at the northeast corner of Stacy Road and Central Expressway will never look the same again. Millions of square feet of retail and restaurants are coming out of the ground right at this spot. In fact, these pictures were taken where the new Borders Bookstore will be located. Some major thunderstorms were moving through the metroplex on this balmy Saturday evening. You can see how dark the skies were, but incredibly, the bad weather all stayed just to the west of Fairview.
Where there's mud, you will always find kids!

Mark and Elizabeth Benno of Fairview provided the kid rides. They own Texas Backyard Parties and can be reached at 214.385.3064. If you have young ones, you might want to visit their website texasbackyardparties.com. They have some pretty neat ideas for children's parties.
I didn't even realize the town of Fairview had a mounted unit for events like this. Officer Lisa Mitchell told me they all own their own horses.
