People sometimes ask me why we love living in Lucas so much.  Lord knows, I talk about it enough.  This picture kind of puts it into words. 

I was working in my study today and looked up to see our neighbors walking their horse down the street.  They were nice enough to let me take this picture. 

Even for me, it's still a little hard to believe, from this point, we are only 8-10 minutes from 4 million SF of brand new retail, entertainment, and restaurants at The Village at Allen, The Village At Fairview, and Watters Creek.  And the icing on the cake?  This area is served one of the finest, small school districts in the entire state of Texas, Lovejoy ISD.  It's as close to a private school district as you'll ever find in a public school district.

People still wave, whether they know you or not.  Everyone knows their neighbors, and we help and look out for each other.  The great majority of homes out here are on at least one acre and there still large land tracts held by farmers.  We get to enjoy all kinds of wildlife which congregate around Lake Lavon.  Everything from road runners to red tailed hawks.

In a nutshell, this is why we love living in Lucas!
