I don't often comment on homes that are not our listings ... because they are not our listings :-)  However, I saw these three homes yesterday and was impressed.  I have absolutely no vested interest in any of these homes whatsoever.  I have them on our site because ...

  1. none of our listings are competing with theirs in that subdivision,

  2. I think they were nicely built and outfitted, and

  3. I thought the builder could use some free exposure. 

Although we sold a very nice home in that subdivision last year, I didn't know anything about Southern Glory Homes until I met the owners yesterday.  It appears to me they are committed to quality and not cutting costs in areas that I see some custom builders doing, plus they are putting money into areas I don't see a lot of builders doing at this price.  Many of the features I had already mentioned in the article on what's hot are in their homes. 

The way I see it, there is always more room for good custom builders.  The following is what I really liked about their homes, but remember, not all of their homes have all of these features.

  1. Nice looking elevations with stone and brick. 

  2. Each home has its own personal touches and character.  Some had pull out drawers under glass front kitchen cabinets, pot fillers over the cook-top, specialized doors, etc. 

  3. Nice moldings throughout, extensive, rounded corners, big covered patios with outdoor fireplaces, seeded concrete walkways, high grade flooring (like Travertine and hand scraped hardwoods), and either granite or natural marble in all of the bathrooms and kitchen, both upstairs and down.  

  4. I was also impressed with the quality of their fixtures, hardware, and appliances ... one of the places builders can save some substantial money. 

  5. And finally, I liked their prices.  The home I checked the price on was about $141/sf or so.  That is a very fair price for what those homes have to offer. 

The homes are in Brooks Farm, Parker.  The subdivision is a little "off the beaten path" on McCreary Rd., which runs into Parker Rd.
