Congratulations to Pam for winning the prestigious 2010 McSam Award for Realtor of the year on March 20th! A Little About Pam Pam Matlock is our Buyer Agent specializing in Allen, Fairview, Lucas, McKinney, and Parker. She has been representing buyers for many years. We are now bringing our style of professional marketing to Allen, where Pam will be our listing specialist. Pam's clients LOVE her! She is genuinely caring of her clients. Pam is always upbeat and positive and ready with a quick laugh, a trait I admire very much. In addition, she is a great listener, hard worker and highly motivated to be the very best ... all qualities of a great Realtor and the kind of person we want with our company. On a personal note, Pam and her husband Erin (also a Realtor with us specializing in the McKinney submarket) were married in 2001 and live in Allen. They met while attending Rockwall High School and started dating at 16. Pam graduated from UT Arlington with a bachelors degree in social work. She worked as the Crime Victims Liaison in Plano after college focusing on victims of domestic violence. She also worked at Adoption Access in Dallas, a job she felt passionate about. She and Erin plan on having a house full of kids, and just had their first baby, Mallorie, on April 4th of 2008. Pam and Erin also share their home with a basset hound named Louie - the longest dog you will ever meet! We feel very lucky to have Pam as part of our team and I know you will enjoy working with her in finding your dream home or selling a home for you.
Several Client Testimonials On Pam October 2nd, 2009 Dear Tom and Rhonda, I just wanted to let you know what a
great experience we had buying a house with Pam Matlock!!
From our unconventional search to our unorthodox closing she
completely went the extra mile in service. Our home search spanned
14 months and far more properties.
Because of the unstable nature of Rob’s job as his company was bought
by another, we stopped and started our search several times while he
weathered the changes at work.
Pam took it all in stride and was available to show us properties when we
wanted to, but did not pressure us to buy when we weren’t ready.
She let us set the time table which we really appreciated.
Pam’s diplomatic skills were called
into service as she tried to combine my desires for a modern house big
enough for our family, with my husband’s wishes for some country acreage.
These were mutually exclusive criteria as more of one usually meant
less of the other. After much
patience on Pam’s part, we finally agreed on a modern house on modest
property that was affordable because of the neglect of the previous owners
in preparing the property to sell. When it came time for the home
inspection, Pam arrived fully prepared with a box of light bulbs that she
brought from home so we could test all the burned out sockets to see if they
really worked or not (all but one did).
I really appreciated her willingness to dive right in with me and
investigate to see if things were truly broken or just neglected.
She even helped washed windows to make sure the seal was not broken
on them as they were so dusty. After several rounds of negotiation,
obstructed home inspections (the gas was turned off, and the pool filter was
taken apart on the day of the pool inspection), and one option period
extension, we finally arrived at a repair agreement with the sellers.
Pam did an excellent job preparing them to be receptive to our offer.
Had I known they would have agreed so quickly, I would have asked for
more! Imagine our consternation when we reached closing day and discovered
that the agreed upon repairs were less than half completed.
Once again we had to extend the contract, which required a lot of
extra work for Pam.
At
this point in the process we discovered that the homeowner was overwhelmed
and was basically giving up on the repairs .
If not for the great loan terms we secured, and for the incredible
support of Pam and the selling agent, we would have walked away from the
sale. Since they both agreed to help,
the three of us took over the repairs and worked hard to be sure they got
done. What followed was one of
the busiest and most stressful weeks of my life.
Since the house was vacant we were
able to supervise repairs ourselves, and Pam ended up meeting me at the
property almost every day that next week.
Each day we thought we might be able to close, but every day we
discovered something new on the repair agreement that was not fixed, or that
we thought was fixed and really wasn’t.
We found ourselves inspecting pool equipment, searching for water
leaks and waiting for PODS to be removed from the property.
The selling agent even cleaned the pool herself, while Pam waited for
hours for repairmen to finish their work and spent hours on the phone with
the other agent working out details on repairs, to make sure they were fully
completed, and that the seller paid for them.
On closing day, Pam and I found
ourselves walking all over the property trying to locate another sprinkler
leak. We found it, showed the
sprinkler guy and were able to squeak in a closing at the last minute on
Friday afternoon. The sprinkler
company was literally repairing the last leak in the system as we
were signing the closing documents on the house.
Looking back, I am amazed that it even closed at all.
I cannot say enough good things
about Pam and how impressed and grateful I was to her for hard work,
encouragement, and cheerful attitude in the face of a lot of opposition!
She always had a can do spirit even when the situation looked pretty
grim. Pam went way beyond the call of duty in assisting us that final
week with the house purchase. I know that without her it never would have
happened. Despite all the struggles to get
here, we are very happy in our new house, and excited about the
possibilities of how we will improve it in the future.
I would highly recommend Pam Matlock to any buyers who want an agent
who is very professional, will be sensitive to their needs, never give up,
always have a positive attitude and be firmly representing them, not the
sellers.
Sincerely, Geri Anne Larimer

Hi Tom, I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to write a quick note
about our fantastic experience with Pam Matlock. My husband and I relocated to Dallas from Houston in May and we needed to find a home. We were referred to Pam by a friend and could not have asked for a better realtor. Pam had the difficult task of working with a very indecisive couple. We could not decide if we were going to rent or buy, and what area of town we wanted to live in. She was extremely patient with us and had very good suggestions for us. We ended up locating the perfect house and managed to close in 2 weeks. We could not have done this without Pam's help. She was there every step of the way and made the purchase a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Pam to anyone looking to buy or lease a home. She is such a joy to work with and I know she'll be helpful to many more. Marissa

"From the moment we met Pam I knew we would find the perfect home. We had been living in a hotel since our home had sold two months earlier. Needless to say we were eager to get in to a place of our own. Every house she showed us fell into the criteria we gave her. I think we looked at homes for about 3 days when we saw "the one". Made an offer and moved in within 20 days....... She never allowed us to stress over anything. Pam was always upbeat and most professional. We will recommend her and most definitely use her again when we need to purchase another home. " Gary and Dannette Tilley Pam, thank you so much for your dedicated and personalized service. Your experience in the McKinney real estate market has helped my son and I find the perfect house that we will enjoy for years to come. Mark Fitzgerald
oss the country with only a f “We were out of state buyers, who were moving half way across the country with only a few days to look at homes. Pam was nine months pregnant, never complained and showed us about fifteen homes in just two days. She never rushed us or got frustrated with our indecision. Pam made sale go as smooth as it possibly could.” “Pam is fun, easy to get along with, professional and listens to her clients. She makes you feel immediately comfortable. Her listening skills, instead of being pushy, allow to come to a good learn term decision. If I buy another home, we will work with Pam again.” Arthur and Kim Cooper
