We are so pleased to announce Alice Robison, a Fairview resident and newly licensed Realtor, has joined our team. Like many of our team members, she's a "Lovejoy Mom" so she understands the value of this top notch school district. She and her husband have two boys attending Lovejoy schools, Harrison and Mason. As a busy mom of two boys, she's also found time to support the district by volunteering for various parent teacher organizations and served in executive positions.

Alice graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in communication studies (and 3.9 GPA) and a minor in marketing. Her prior employment history includes marketing and administrative positions with KPMG LLP, Countrywide Financial, KDFW Fox 4 and ESports Partners.

She's been a stay at home mom and her two sons have have kept her busy. Now that they're a little more self sufficient, she's eager to get out into the workforce again. She'll not only be learning how to become a successful agent from the ground up in our mentoring program, we're looking forward to utilizing her other talents for our own area marketing and promotions.

A typical day in my life…

Although getting out of bed is never easy for me, I am my most productive in the mornings. I am not high maintenance about many things in life, but I am very particular about how I take my coffee. Thankfully my husband can make it just right and prepares my first cup for me most mornings! Due to COVID, my husband typically works from his home office and it helps tremendously having him around. He makes big hearty breakfasts every morning for our family, while I pack lunches and get backpacks ready. Then we drive our two boys to school as a family and come back to start our days. When time allows, I like to go to the gym first thing. If I don't work-out in the morning, it won't happen. Then I peck away at my to-do list for the day and head out for any scheduled appointments. When I need a break, I will take our two dogs on a walk. The afternoons are busy, but fun, shuffling our kids to their various activities. Food and mealtime are very important to us and we try to sit down as a family for dinner every night. After the kids are asleep my husband and I like to unwind together with a drink on the patio or by diving into a new series. I love to read and typically finish my days with a book before bed.

I was born…

In Tyler, TX and moved to Plano, TX when I was 8. I started college at LSU and graduated from UNT in Denton in 2003. I lived in NW Dallas for 12 years before moving to Fairview in 2016 where I currently reside. Other than my freshman college year in Louisiana I've lived in Texas my entire life!

My favorite thing about Texas…

The convenience of being able to access anything you need, while also being able to drive a short distance and find beautiful open spaces. And of course, the friendly people!

I’m listening to…

True crime podcasts, NPR and News, Rock, Texas Country, and Pop.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Whoever is cooking and cleaning it for me! But seriously, my grandmother who was born in 1921 and is still alive, but has recently suffered from memory loss. I'd love one more dinner with her before that happened so that I could write down her stories and preserve her legacy.

My favorite food is ...

I love food way too much. Margaritas, chips, and guacamole on a patio is my happy place, or a fun appetizer dinner with wine. A good charcuterie board will be hard to get me away from!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

A sports reporter

I’m inspired by…

Positive people and an electric energy in a room.

The one person who motivates me is…

My husband. He is humble but confident, hard-working, supportive, and is amazing at identifying the best traits in people and encouraging them to apply them, all with having a great sense of humor!

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

Why can't we all just get along? I wish everyone operated by the Golden Rule. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. That would solve all the worlds problems!

The perfect day would be…

Perfect weather, a commitment-free day where I could spend quality time with my family, an outdoor adventure, relaxing by a body of water, and indulging in good meals and drinks.

My first job was…

As a teen, babysitting. After college, working promotions for FOX Sports.

My worst job was ...

Working in statistics for a mortgage company. I was in over my head and did not enjoy the work.

My favorite escape…

A quiet beach with a book and a drink.

The one thing I wish I could really do well is ...

Dance and play an instrument.

The one thing I really wish I had is...

The ability to nap and be productive at the same time.

My life…

Is fulfilling. I try to find gratitude in each day, and am thankful for all the good in my life.

I’m currently working on…

Learning from this amazing team and growing in the real estate business! I'm also always working on a home project. Currently, we're updating our landscaping after the unprecedented freeze we got in Texas that took out a good portion of our plants!

Always…

Be kind and treat everyone with respect.

Never…

Say something that you wouldn't want to see on the cover of the newspaper.

Favorite Quote…

You learn more from failure than from success.

Biggest Dream…

To watch my boys grow into healthy, good, confident, successful, and happy men with a purpose-filled life.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

Double standards, broken ice machines (why do they never work?!?), clothes left in the dryer, distracted drivers, cutting in line (such an elementary concept but I witness it all the time with adults!), entitlement.

Most people don't know this about me...

I'm pretty much an open book, but most people don't know that I went to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as a tween for scoliosis and slept in a back brace for a couple of years to prevent it from getting worse. The process worked but if you look closely one leg is slightly longer than the other!

More about Me…

My family is everything to me. My husband and two boys are my world, and I am also very close with my parents, my in-laws, and my siblings and their families. I am fortunate to have them all close by with the exception of my brother who is only a short drive away in Oklahoma. I absolutely love travel and adventure, and thankfully my family does too! We try to get out and explore every chance we get, whether it's a hiking trail down the road or a beach, mountain, foreign, or other interesting destination. We aren't afraid of road trips and have been known to pack up on short notice and hit to road. I am always amazed at the beauty and wonder of the world, and enjoy creating memories in it with my people. I also have an amazing set of friends in my life. Each and every one of them are important to me and have shaped me in some way. I enjoy playing sports and exercising, although the older I get the more painful it has become!
