Snider Lane in Lucas is slowly but surely turning into one of the most prestigious streets in all of Lucas. It’s a charming little country asphalt road much of which is under a canopy of mature trees. The older homes on larger acreages are being torn down and in their place, new homes well above $1 million are springing up. Why is this happening?
Large tracts in Lucas today are now selling at such a high price, once they’re divided by developers into two acre lot minimums, the lot prices are just not affordable even for the most affluent buyers. The only reason homes like this can still be purchased at a reasonable price is they were built before the land prices really started spiraling upward.
There are several things that make this home very special. First, it’s on 5 plus acres already set up for horses and with a nice barn. Second, it backs up to the Trinity Equestrian and walking Trail. You never have to trailer your horse to ride. There are 29 miles of paths around Lake Lavon which is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. It will never be developed. Open a gate, walk out to the trail, and you’re there.
The home has also been completely and beautifully updated by the sellers. They renovated with today’s buyers in mind. It’s what I call “plug and play”, ready to move into and be enjoyed.
Finally, you’re only about 8-9 minutes from 3 million SF of shopping, dining, sports, and entertainment in Fairview and Allen (with more on the way). I know because we live near the end of this street and make the drive every day. This is a home that allows you to get away from the city grind, but all the conveniences you could want are within minute’s drive time.
If you’re interested in getting your kids into Lovejoy ISD, the district will welcome them. The yearly fee is between $10K and $12K per year, easily a third of what you’d expect to pay for a private school.
Don’t just take my word for it. Take a drive down Snider Lane and see for yourself what’s happening. I know you’ll be both surprised and very impressed. Here’s a link to the home on our site.
