Fairview Farmers Restaurant Opening this Fall in Fairview Town Center

Texas transplants bringing family-owned, American diner brunch spot to Fairview this fall. Fairview Farmers will be a classic American diner with a healthy, farm-to-table twist.
The menu at Fairview Farmers will be similar to the one at Jessica’s, a diner the Mixha family owns in Roscoe, Ill. The Rockford burger plate is a tribute to their hometown area in Rockford.

At the end of 2021, a new family-owned brunch spot in town will open for Allen- and Fairview-area diners. Fairview Farmers, 441 E. Stacy Road, will focus on classic American diner food with a healthy, farm-to-table twist. Menu and decor details are being ironed out, but co-owner Fati Mixha said they plan to work with local farmers and make “everything from scratch.”

The restaurant will be co-owned and run by Fati Mixha and his parents, Agim and Linda Mixha and his sister, Besa Mixha.

The family has a history in the restaurant business. Mixha’s father, Agim, has been working in the food industry since the day he immigrated from Albania almost 30 years ago. His first job was working as a busboy at a diner he now owns in Roscoe, Ill.

Fati Mixha said that his immediate family has run that diner, called Jessica’s, for the past 11 years. Twenty-plus years before that, the extended family owned it. The Mixhas have extended family across North Texas. While visiting family, the Mixhas took a liking to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and saw the opportunity here for a new venture, so they decided to open a brunch spot with a menu similar menu to the one at Jessica’s.

The restauranteurs hope that Fairview Farmers will provide a hometown feel for customers, where they know and recognize their servers and feel a sense of community.
“This will be a restaurant where you’ll see me and my mom and my dad and my sister in there working and serving you — and then making sure that everything is the best that can be,” Mixha said.
