My Interview with Katie Kordel, Lovejoy’s New Superintendent

Katie Kordel, the new Lovejoy school district superintendent, took time out of her busy schedule to visit with Alice Robison, one of our Lovejoy Agent specialists and me last week. We asked her about the closing of Lovejoy Elementary, how the district will determine the number of out of district students they will accept, how they will determine which students will be accepted and into what grades, and whether “critical race theory” will be a part of the Lovejoy curriculum next school year. Lovejoy ISD is a perennial top three school district per the Texas Education Agency along with Highland Park and Carroll, so it has a rich tradition of excellence. There is no question in our minds she will make sure the tradition is carried on and we’re thrilled to have her.

By the way, I have my own opinions on this interview and what was learned. If you’d like to read it, here’s the LINK.
