This annual event is a fundraiser for the Lovejoy Independent School District in Lucas and Fairview, Texas. This event will bring in a LOT of much needed money to the district and is just one of the reasons it has such a great reputation. The most expensive items sold were two tickets to Sundays final round at the Masters. They went for $14,250. If you aren’t a golfer, you probably won’t get it, but someone is very, very fortunate to be going.
There was also a trip to Iceland, which stood out, but I don’t know what it went for. Chef Tre Wilcox, the Iron Chef, dinner for 12 sold for $8,000. We’re going to be doing another event with him next month and I’ll be releasing the details soon.
Lovejoy is consistently rated one of the top three public school districts in the entire state of Texas. We have well over 100 out of district students with parents paying as much as $12K per year to get in. Parent participation, fantastic teachers, a committed administration and of course our great kids are the reason this district has thrived. If you’d like to learn more about it, please get in contact with me. And please visit our site if you’re thinking about buying or selling a home within the district.
