A new Allen mixed-use real estate project has landed an apartment community.
Called The Farm, the 135-acre development is on State Highway 121 and Alma Road, where plans call for a variety of commercial and residential buildings.
Project developer JaRyCo earlier this year announced that a 102,000-square-foot building will be the first phase of The Farm. A new entertainment venue is also planned.
Now Atlanta-based apartment builder Wood Partners is preparing to start work on a rental community at The Farm.
The 325-unit apartment project would start construction later this year and open in mid-2023, according to planning documents filed with the state.
Dallas-based architect GFF designed the rental community.
Wood Partners is one of North Texas’ largest apartment builders, with projects throughout the area. Plans for The Farm eventually call for more than 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-room hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, townhomes and 2,400 rental units.
The Farm will also include an entertainment and restaurant complex called The Hub, which will be across the street from the planned office building.
