Every year on January 1st we post our prior year's stats. It's become a tradition for us. In a way, we're "clearing the deck", forgetting about the prior year, and mentally preparing ourselves for the new year.
We had our best year ever, but it wasn't easy. Several of this year's sales were incredibly difficult. They required agents with the patience of a saint and a miracle worker at the same time. Somehow we got those properties closed but we had to fight tooth and nail from start to finish.
I honestly don't know if less experienced agents could have pulled some of these sales off, but our fantastic agents got it done for our clients. Our experience is one of our strongest traits and it pays off when deals really become tough.
Like everyone else, we're starting out the new year with zero production. We know nothing will be given to us. We have to make things happen or we're in big trouble. That's a scary and very humbling feeling but we feel it every year at this time.
Of course, we also have a lot of unfinished business with properties we currently have listed and as yet have not sold. You could say our work is really never done so we can never just relax. Our clients are relying on us and we take that responsibility very seriously.
We have big plans for 2019 and can't wait to meet the challenges.
